Virtually Gerry was started by Gerry Hyde in September 2004. Gerry has over twenty years experience working for SMEs in the capacity of Office Manager and Executive Personal Assistant.
She has a wealth of knowledge and understanding on the running of small businesses and is always eager to share this information with her clients.
Gerry worked for ten years for a Sales and Management Development organisation prior to setting up Virtually Gerry and has a vast knowledge of the training industries.
Gerry works closely with Carmen MacDougall at The Virtual Assistant Coaching and Training Company (www.vact.co.uk) providing mentoring for Virtual Assistants who have completed a VACT programme and require additional support as they set up their business.
Virtual Assistants (VAs) are self employed professionals who perform a wide range of office and administrative services for businesses without necessarily setting foot in their client's office.
We offer a completely remote service whether it is on-going or on a one-off basis. VAs have gained a wealth of experience in the corporate world and we have set up our own businesses with clear understandings of what pressures our clients face. We have adapted our lifestyle to work "virtually" and complement our clients' businesses with our support.
The Virtual Assistant industry is environmentally friendly.The nature of our business makes it easy for us to be green. Working from a home office cuts down on commuting, which in turn lowers the amount of pollution and fuel usage vehicles create. Furthermore, corresponding electronically reduces the amount of waste and paperwork as we aim to keep our carbon footprint as low as possible.
